To Whom It May Concern,
I am filing a formal complaint requesting an FCC investigation into harassing and unlawful automated calls originating from the number (866) 254-6555.
For the past several weeks, I have received three or more calls per day, every day, from this number. The calls appear to be AI-generated or robotic in nature, using synthetic voices and dynamic responses designed to simulate human conversation. These calls are unsolicited, unwanted, and disruptive, and appear to violate multiple federal telecommunications regulations, including those governing robocalls, caller ID spoofing, and harassment through automated systems.
Despite my attempts to block the number and report it to my carrier, the calls persist daily, suggesting the use of rotating caller IDs or spoofed transmission routes. This activity represents a serious abuse of telecommunications infrastructure and an ongoing invasion of privacy.
I am requesting that the FCC conduct a formal federal investigation into the source, purpose, and ownership of this number and its associated technology, including any corporate or government entity responsible for deploying automated or AI-driven call systems without consumer consent.
Attached are call logs and any relevant evidence of these contacts. I am willing to provide full cooperation for investigation and enforcement purposes.
Requested Action:
- Initiate a federal inquiry into the number (866) 254-6555
- Determine whether the calls involve AI-generated or spoofed robocalls
- Take enforcement action under applicable FCC and FTC consumer protection laws
Sincerely,
LeRoy Nellis II

Thank you for contacting the FCC’s Consumer Inquiries and Complaints Center.
Your complaint about unwanted calls or text messages has been assigned Ticket No. 8214271.
The FCC is continually working to stop illegal calls and text messages from reaching you, including calls with spoofed caller ID. While the FCC is not able to stop every illegal call or instance of illegal caller ID spoofing, we are working with industry and consumer groups to develop polices and encourage technical solutions to address the problem and minimize the harms these calls and texts pose to consumers.
As we work to protect consumers, eliminate illegal calls and texts, and ensure a functioning system for legal callers and texters, we welcome the help you provide as you file your complaint and share details about your experience.
You may file additional complaints at any time. The information you provide allows us to spot trends and practices that may warrant investigation and enforcement action.
You can find tips on how to prevent unwanted calls and address caller ID spoofing, including instances where your number is being spoofed or your calls are being blocked or labeled, here: www.fcc.gov/robocalls.
The FCC has also published a Scam Glossary with descriptions of and tips for dealing with robocall, robotext, spoofing, and other scams facing consumers: www.fcc.gov/scam-glossary.
These tips include a “Call Blocking Resources” link for provider-specific advice on preventing unwanted calls.
We value your contribution to our continued work to combat unwanted calls and texts, with the goal of restoring your safety and peace of mind.
